Addisperse's new peroxide additives include viscosity modifiers for PP and recycling markets and crosslinkers for polyolefins. . #Polyolefin

Addisperse recently launched two new peroxide-based additive concentrates for polyolefins. Addisperse is a company of Aromatic Fusion Inc. (AFI)

 ▪ eNCORE NC 220 C is a granular viscosity modifier suitable for the PP compounding and recycling market. It is said to be a more effective peroxide concentrate based on unique nanotechnology. According to the company, a major advantage of processors compared to alternative products is that they can use less eNCORE 220 C, resulting in significant cost savings. Another benefit of this nanotechnology is that the active ingredient is more evenly distributed, resulting in a more uniform extrusion flow. The product also has excellent storage stability; it has been shown to not crystallize or fuse together during transportation or storage, even under extreme warehouse storage conditions.

 ▪ eNCORE NC 205, eNCORE NC 210 and eNCORE NC 220 are all based on dicumyl peroxide and have been developed for the controlled cross-linking of EVA, PE and TPE. Because they contain no fillers, these concentrates are reported to be ideal for cross-linked foaming applications and silane cross-linking applications, including wires and cables, cross-linked PE tubing, and heat shrink tubing. According to reports, the unique carrier used to manufacture these products ensures that the peroxide concentrate is evenly distributed during processing without the need for pre-activation.

This so-called "commodity" material is actually very complex, making choosing the right type a challenge.

Advances in materials, feed block/mold technology, and winding can help processors develop more complex cast-stretch products.

Low-cost wood is still king, but the reusability of plastics is increasingly attractive to manufacturers looking for sustainable material handling options. A major obstacle is today's high resin prices.
